Early this year, in New Delhi, the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze initially came out at INR 14.81 lakh, however, after a month of its release, the price had a cutback of INR 86,000, reducing its price to INR 13.95.
The new price is the product not of necessity, but of demand because Chevrolet India wanted more value for money for their consumers, reveals PTI. There was a lot of speculation as to why the car was not introduced with the current price since it was cut back just a month after its release.
The new Cruze is powered by the same 2.0L diesel engine, capable of 166 PS and 360 Nm. There are three variants available and two transmission options. The new features of the Cruze offer a revised front grille with LED DRL above the fog light, new alloys, new 7 inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, reverse parking camera, however there is no navigation.
Here is the Chevrolet Cruze price comparison:
Old VS. New
Chevrolet Cruze LT (MT) 14.68 Lakh – 13.95 Lakh
Chevrolet Cruze LTZ (MT) 16.75 Lakh – 15.95 Lakh
Chevrolet Cruze LTZ (AT) 17.81 Lakh – 16.95 Lakh
As one of the important markets of GM, India will receive a more tailored approach in reviving their strategy in marketing. The Trailblazer, the company’s flagship SUV, was already launched last year. Come 2017, the new Spin MPV will be launched while work on the design of the new Beat (Activ) and the Beat based compact sedan (Essentia) are on their way. Both cars were featured at the 2016 Auto Expo earlier this month.
