On its 100th year, in keeping with the tradition of creating marvelous cars, Lamborghini built the Centenario, and its $1.9 a piece.
For that small fortune, you not only acquire the most powerful Lamborghini available, but you also get to be a proud owner of a car with the first ever built-in Apple CarPlay. Unfortunately, it’s already sold out!
Only 40 Centenarios, with 20 coupes and 20 roadsters. Even before the unveiling of the cars in public at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland, Lamborghini sold them out.
Underneath the hood of the Centenario is a magnificent vehicle. The carbon fiber body houses a V12 engine that can produce 770 horsepower,r acing from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds to reach a top speed of 217mph.
The acceleration is guaranteed to frighten the passengers and to document this, Lamborghini installed two interior digital cameras to record the terrified faces of the passengers as the Centenario reaches its top speed. Then later share the video online.
With the all new Lamborghini’s 4 wheel steering system, the Centenario is capable of making quick cornering, further causing a fear-induced aneurysm to its passengers.
In order to give a quicker steering response, the rear wheels turn the opposite direction as the frons at low speed. Then the rear wheels turn the same direction as the fronts at higher speed, making it more stable during high-speed maneuvers.
Just as its performance, technology is also raised to the next level, as the Centenario has been fitted with a 10.1-inch touchscreen in the center dash, which for the first time, offers Apple CarPlay as standard. And for the social media and email access, internet access is readily available.
