Later this year, General Motors will be releasing a limited number of hybrid pickups in California. Included in the list of new trucks are 500 Silverados and 200 Sierras.
A selected few models of the 2016 Silverado now comes with the eAssist mild-hybrid technology. These pick up trucks were developed by leveraging technology from Chevrolet’s electric vehicles. The battery cells from the Malibu Hybrid and software specifically comes from the Volt. The outcome is a practicably priced hybrid pick up with fuel economy.
