It has been suggested to me by my “in-house counsel” (a.k.a. my best friend) that I put a more formal legal disclaimer on this blog. While we won’t get into the finer points of lawyer jokes here (res ipsa loquitur), I agree that it’s worth clarifying that each and every thought on this blog is my own. I’m a big boy, I play by big boy rules (i.e. if you break it, you bought it) and I’m responsible for what I say. This, of course, includes any and all errors, idiocy, stupid comments, swear words, and ill-received humor. They are all my own personal responsibility. These are my own thoughts*, generated by me, representing me. They – and this blog – are in no way affiliated with my current employer (s), any of my past employers, any of my future employers, nor any of that collectively fortunate group’s succersors or assigns, or, for that matter, any other company that I have ever had any involvement in or with. If I’ve made a mistake, it’s my fault. If I’ve said something that makes you laugh, you are not alone. Of course, you should not rely on anything in the blog as any kind of advice. Including any advice that may be given. As always… “Your Mileage May Vary!”
Sometimes, I do stupid things with motor vehicles. On occasion I hurt them and myself. You shouldn’t do what I do (I’m a trained quasi-preofessional after all), or you risk similar damage to yourself and others, your vehicles, your bank balance, your surroundings, your relationships with your significant others, etc. As a reasonable man, or woman, I trust you won’t do anything stupid and try and blame me for it. I won’t do that to you and, in turn, I expect you will hold yourself to similar standards.
I’m just a guy who is passionate (well, it’s more like an obsession actually, but that has such negative conotations) about cars and who is halfway through a lifelong love affair with all things automotive. As such, I have plenty of opinions (including some stupid ones) on the subject.
*And oh yeah, my co-writers are incorporated herein by reference, which is legalese for “what they say is their own stuff and not affiliated with any of the companies they work for either.”
